Our Story
The Dry Cleaner is a family-run business, established in 1991 by owner and current operator, John Cheong.
He opened his first storefront on E. 51st Street in Midtown Manhattan, where he provided personal and commercial valet dry cleaning services for over 15 years. There, he gained long-standing clientele in the community such as The Kimberly Hotel, Sutton Place Synagogue, and St. Patrick's Cathedral - which we are incredibly humbled to be serving up to this day.
With over 30 years of experience, we now provide valet laundry services to over 15 hotels all around NYC, from Williamsburg to Midtown Manhattan. Our current facility is located in Hunt's Point, The Bronx, and we are now thrilled to be offering our professional services to the Hudson Heights community.
Our new storefront opened in January 2022, located at 810 West 187th Street. It is our pleasure to introduce to you accessible, professional dry cleaning that is a product of over three decades of craftsmanship and expertise.
